1. Philosophy & Core Commitment

Die With Us ("DWU", "we", "our") was built on a radical privacy premise: your identity belongs to you, not our servers. We do not require accounts, phone numbers, email addresses, or social logins. You are completely anonymous.

2. Data We DO NOT Collect

• No Phone Numbers or SMS Verification codes
• No Email Addresses or Password Credentials
• No Personal Names, Birthdays, or Profile Pictures
• No Precise GPS Location tracking
• No Contact Lists or Social Graph data
• No Ad Tracking IDs (GAID / IDFA) or Third-Party Analytics cookies

3. Data We Process for Security

To prevent spam, abuse, and malicious attacks while maintaining anonymity, our platform processes minimal hardware metadata:

• SHA-256 Device Fingerprint: Generated locally from ANDROID_ID + Build.MODEL + Build.BRAND. This hash is stored in Firestore solely to check against the banned_devices collection.
• Battery Level: Read via system BatteryManager and BroadcastReceiver solely to enforce the low-battery gating rules and detect anti-spoof tampering.
• Anonymous Firebase Auth UID: An ephemeral randomly-generated token assigned by Firebase Anonymous Auth for message routing.

4. Ephemeral Message Storage

Messages sent in room feeds are stored temporarily in Firebase Realtime Database to allow active chat room participants to read them. Messages older than 24 hours are automatically purged by server background jobs.
